The series, “On Forward Momentum,” focuses on a pivotal question that was posed during the making of each piece, which is:\u00a0Is there any sort of parallel between the substance of which human beings are made and the cultural interactions that they have?\u00a0\u00a0Plainly put, each piece is a consideration of how an individual exists inside of a whole. I was researching and reading about how matter physically moves through space, and how energy is transferred when an object is set in motion. For a time, P=MV, or Forward Momentum= Mass x Velocity, acted as a clean, poetic metaphor for how people interact. \u00a0Shared with the self importance of human consciousness is the reality of the limitations of one’s physicality.\u00a0 People are symptoms of their natural environment.\u00a0 We are lots of tiny little pieces: oscillating, colliding, absorbing, sharing and rejecting space, each\u00a0 carving out their own individual pathway. <\/span> [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”3.22.5″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”]<\/p>\n
