In this workshop, join artist Jon Barcan, and learn how to incorporate digital imagery into traditional copper intaglio etching processes. Students will learn how to expose text\/illustration\/photography to silkscreens, and then screen print water-based ink to the surface of their copper substrate. This will then act as the plate\u2019s acid resist during the completion of rich and darkly etched aquatint textures.
\nThe highlight of this workshop is its versatility. Artists can use this unique process to incorporate any artistic imagery that is made digitally.<\/p>\n
Barcan will provide all materials and guidance, ensuring that each attendee can fully engage with both digital and hand-drawn techniques.
