PRELIMINARY ABSTRACTIONS

In addition to figurative compositions, I continually return to loose, expressive, and quick abstract series of drawings that help me to bridge ideas between more involved projects and to open up and invent new ways of mark making. Because of their immediate and intuitive nature, I consider these to be much closer to journal entries than completely finished works, and often times include bits of text and other thought meanderings.
